Li Kai Man

Li Kai Man is currently studying at the Education University of Hong Kong (EdUHK), with double major in Creative Arts and Culture and Education (Music). Li joined the Hong Kong Young Chinese Orchestra in 2017, and became the principal of the zheng section in 2019. A student of the zheng for more than a decade, she studies under the tutelage of Wang Yining and has performed at numerous major concerts with the Hong Kong Young Chinese Orchestra. In 2021, she performed Journey to Lhasa together with the HKCO at the ‘Preservation and Perpetuation of the Classics’ concert.

Li Kai Man is also a member of the EdUHK Chinese Orchestra and Handbell Ensemble, and currently serves as Vice Chairperson of the Ning Zheng Ensemble. In the 2021-22 academic year, she was named as a ‘Student Pro-Artist’ by the Department of Cultural and Creative Arts, and organised a zheng recital together with her programme tutor. She also received a gold award at the Hong Kong preliminary selection round for the 7th International Zheng Contest.
