Chiang Yau Yin

Chiang Yau Yin is a member of the Gehu section of the Hong Kong Young Chinese Orchestra, having joined in 2025. He was selected to perform Ambush from All Sides as the soloist in the concert ‘Preservation and Perpetuation of the Classics 2026’. He previously studied cello with Zong Xiaoqian. In 2024, Chiang was admitted to the Junior Programme at the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts. He is currently studying with Bernard Chan and is also a cellist in the JRE (Junior Repertoire Ensemble), where he receives guidance from Ray Choi and Cheung Hei Man. He also received guidance from Tung Hiu-lo.


In 2025, he participated in the Hong Kong Youth Music Camp Junior String Orchestra and attended a masterclass with Professor Zhu Yibing during the camp. He has also taken part in cello masterclasses led by Dr. Artem Konstantinov, from whom he received high praise.


He has also participated in the Museekers Junior Conducting Class, where he received foundational conducting training under Tang Wing Kwan.
